Job Summary

Ensure vessels and marine equipment function properly and safely, and perform the necessary repairs and maintenance. The scope covers monitoring of engine and electrical systems, various other technical tasks, and preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of mechanical, electrical, main engine, and vessel electrical systems
  • Ensure the availability of required work tools and spare parts
  • Prepare spare parts and technical equipment requirements based on the maintenance schedule
  • Monitor the maintenance schedule of the engine room and mechanical components onboard and plan periodic repairs (monthly, 3-monthly, 6-monthly, yearly)
  • Ensure the electrical system functions properly and meets safety standards
  • Perform inspection and troubleshooting to detect faults and find solutions
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure projects are on time and meet specifications
  • Carry out planning and control of vessel maintenance (PMS)
  • Control monthly spare parts usage and create a supply plan for all vessel spare parts
  • Inspect and prepare docking work specifications
  • Check and store documents related to vessel maintenance
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation of completed repair or maintenance work

Performance Targets

  • Ensure vessel planning, control & maintenance comply with applicable standards
  • Minimal errors in repair work on vessel engine, electrical, and mechanical equipment
  • Minimal errors in handling vessel maintenance documentation
  • Engine, electrical, and mechanical repair time completed before the specified deadline
  • Provide periodic reporting on repair and inspection work performed (results & evaluation)

Qualifications

  • Min. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture
  • Mandatory BNSP, CoC, MEC 2, Y4 certifications
  • Min. 3 years experience as a Technician
  • Understanding of international maritime regulations
  • Understanding of engine & electrical repair standards
  • Understanding of vessel operational regulations
  • Proficient in computer (Microsoft Office) and English (mandatory)
